the best of my knowledge, this song is not a bhajan as written by a
Master, but is so sweetly sung that I just had to include it. It is
from the Sant Ajaib
Singh Ji Memorial site. I've cleaned up the recording. The words
are in Spanish with an English translation. I've used mechanical translators
and tried to put the translation to the best of my ability. If I've
made mistakes, please forgive my ineptness. If you have a better translation,
please feel free to send it to me.

SO. AFRICAN SANGAT | A dear one sent me a tape of the South African Sangat singing these bhajans. This was a copy of an old tape that was close to falling apart. According to her account, Ranga was the group leader for the South African Sangat. Ranga "was a musician who set the bhajans to melodies of traditional Hindu devotional hymns--before (the South African) Sangat had tapes to go along with the bhajan books." The words are the same as are in the "Songs of the Masters" bhajan book, but the melodies are different, but the love is the same. May you be blessed by hearing them. The bhajans were sung in Bombay in 1983. | |

According to the Tape Service Catalog from Sant Bani Ashram, these bhajans "were recorded before the 1992 tour as a tool to simplify the learning process of bhajan singing. A dear sister lovingly sings each bhajan a capella." The bhajans from the I Sing of You tape are simpler "bhajans for children of all ages--easy to follow and learn." From the Time of Devotion tape, the "bhajans are more challenging." Either way, the bhajans are sung sweetly and are very enjoyable. |
